The Return.

When Will You Return?

When Will You Return?

Return: (r-tûrn)
(intransitive verb) 1. Go or come back to place, condition, or activity where one has been before.
2. To revert in speech, thought, or practice.
3. To give back to the owner.

God is calling.

In small and large ways, He’s calling.

He’s calling for us to return.

Some of us (including me) have gotten away from where we began. That close intimate place with God where we feared nothing, wanted for nothing, and our faith was unshakable.

We’ve gotten away.

Time, our lives, troubles, money, men, women, kids, lustful desires, hopes, dreams…have all lead us further and further away.

Now, it is time to return.

Like many department stores, there are certain limitations and boundaries that come when you want to return something to the store. Whether that may be a 90 day policy or an unopened package requirement. What you bring back to the store must be in pristine condition for it to be accepted and for you to receive proper “credit” (cash, store gift card, credit card voucher) for your return.

God, however, doesn’t play by those rules.

When He calls for us to return to Him, He’ll take us however we are. Dirty, disdained, damaged, broken, and even destroyed into millions of pieces.

He cares not if our threading has come apart or if we’re missing a button. He just wants us to return.

Not much to say. The message is simple.

Return.

On the Chase,

Alisha L.
