The Best Way to Kill a Snake…

I’m a bit angry, so bear with me.

So many Christians, believers, followers of Christ are being sabotaged, sucker punched, bamboozled and hoodwinked by Satan. And it pisses me off.

People are being taken out by Satan through his antics, some by his own doing, but many times, by our own inability to see the slick ways he gets us to sabotage ourselves.

I don’t have much to say today but this: the best way to kill a snake is… to cut his head off.

More than one way to kill a snake...

 

 

 

 

 

For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing, and effective]; it is sharper than any two-edged sword… Hebrews 4:12 (Amplified)

Cut his head off. Metaphorically and literally.

Speak the word over situations, man. Stop sitting there with your big ol’ mouth sealed shut when things are happening to you or people around you. Get some Word (the sword) and get to severin’ heads.

Look! Luke 10:19 Behold! I have given you authority and power to trample upon serpents and scorpions, and [physical and mental strength and ability] over all the power that the enemy [possesses]; and nothing shall in any way harm you.

Sever. Heads.

Stop letting satan steal from you. Your joy (John 15:11). Your purpose (Jeremiah 1:5). Your sanity/peace (Psalm 4:8).

Also, stop giving satan credit for things he didn’t do. The old adage “the devil made me do it” doesn’t apply when you don’t choose (because it IS a choice) righteousness when the opportunity was given. And trust me, an opportunity is always given.

1 Corinthians 10:13 (read all of it!)

For no temptation (no trial regarded as enticing to sin), [no matter how it comes or where it leads] has overtaken you and laid hold on you that is not common to man [that is, no temptation or trial has come to you that is beyond human resistance and that is not adjusted and adapted and belonging to human experience, and such as man can bear]. But God is faithful [to His Word and to His compassionate nature], and He [can be trusted] not to let you be tempted and tried and assayed beyond your ability and strength of resistance and power to endure, but with the temptation He will [always] also provide the way out (the means of escape to a landing-place), that you may be capable and strong and powerful to bear up under it patiently.

See?

While many say you don’t go into a gun fight with a knife, I’d put my money on the gangsta reeling the (s)word.

I’m Not Looking At You…

This is overdue, so to those who this is really for, I apologize for my disobedience… Even delay in obedience is disobedience, ya heard?! 

Satan, get some Lasik.

I was talking to my good friend a couple of weeks ago about how she was feeling the heat in her finances. She was getting attacked from each and every way; unexpected repairs on her home, a student stealing money from her, even an ex boyfriend leaving her house with some money in his pocket that didn’t belong to him. 

It seemed as if every time she turned around, Satan was in her back pocket doing what he does best: steal, kill, and destroy. 

After chatting it up for a while about how that lil’ hussie stole money out of her wallet at work, I came to the realization about something. 

Satan has really limited vision. He can’t see past the current, the right now. Every time he attacks us, whether that be through our money, our bodies, our relationships, our careers, anything, he operates on a “right now” time frame. He can only see as far as what kind of pain or anguish it will cause us right now. 

But what he fails to realize, you see, is that everything he does causes us to (if we faint not Gal. 6:9) reap a greater reward than anything that we lost in the first place. 

Satan can’t see the other side of things. His view is limited. It’s like he’s sitting at the bottom of a hill throwing stones up at us on top of the hill. If he throws hard enough, a stone or two may hit us. May even knock us down if that stone is big enough. But what he fails to see that behind us, God picks up every stone and is placing it strategically, storing it up, multiplying them so when Satan is done with his futile attack, we can turn around and turn those stones into immediate rewards for our ability to stand. 

WHOA. That was good! 

So don’t be discouraged when the tough times come. When things are hitting you, one after another, know that Satan is only doing them with a limited view. He can’t see that his antics turn into rewards behind you on the hill… 

Ay yo, Lucifer, Beelzebub, Satan, L-O-S-E-R… get some Lasik. 

We’re not looking at you, we’re looking paaaaaassst you…
